Frequently Asked Questions
Ulthera delivers ultrasound (HIFU) energy to deep layers of the skin as a lifting device, while Thermage uses radiofrequency (RF) energy aiming to improve skin texture and elasticity. The suitable device differs depending on your skin condition and area of concern, and the two are sometimes designed together. At LUNN Clinic, Dr. Park Hyungkwon personally diagnoses and proposes the approach that fits each individual.
Rather than right after the procedure, Ulthera is known to show gradual change as collagen regenerates, generally over about 2–3 months. That said, there is individual variation depending on skin condition, age, and treatment area. Details are explained during an in-person consultation.
Sofwave is in the same ultrasound family as Ulthera, but the depth and manner in which energy is delivered differ. The choice may vary with individual factors, such as thinner skin or sensitivity to pain. LUNN Clinic has Ulthera, Thermage, and Sofwave all in one place, so you can compare them in a single consultation.
ONDA uses microwaves aiming to manage skin elasticity and facial lines. It is known for a relatively short treatment time and quick return to daily life, but suitability and results depend on individual skin condition. During consultation, we also plan whether to combine it with other lifting devices.
Rejuran is often performed over several sessions, generally at 2–4 week intervals, and the number and interval vary by skin condition and goal. Because there is individual variation, it is difficult to state a fixed number for everyone. Dr. Park Hyungkwon proposes an individual plan after a skin diagnosis.
Skin boosters differ by main ingredient and purpose (hydration, texture, elasticity, and so on), so the suitable product depends on your skin type and concern. LUNN Clinic offers a range of boosters including Rejuran, Juvelook, Water-Glow injection, and Skinvive, so a comparative consultation is possible. After a 1:1 diagnosis, we guide you to the combination that fits you.
Pigmented lesions are approached differently by type (melasma, freckles, spots, and so on). LUNN Clinic uses the picosecond laser PicoWay for pigment treatment. Because pigmentation carries a possibility of recurrence and individual variation, accurate diagnosis is important. A board-certified dermatologist personally diagnoses and sets up a treatment plan.
Pores, scars, and acne marks are approached by combining several methods such as lasers and skin boosters, depending on depth and type. Older scars often need step-by-step treatment rather than a single session, and the degree of improvement varies by individual. During your visit, we check your skin condition and guide you through a realistic treatment plan.
It varies by treatment, but most have little downtime and allow a relatively quick return to daily life. Depending on the area, redness or fine marks may remain for a few days, and the recovery period for each treatment is explained during consultation.
It varies by area and treatment, and we minimize discomfort with numbing cream or local anesthesia. If you are sensitive to pain, please let us know in advance during consultation and we will proceed accordingly.
