Post-Treatment Care

Pigmentation Laser

Temporary redness and warmth may occur after treatment. If the warmth persists, cool compresses may help soothe the area.

You may apply makeup on the day of treatment, but please avoid exfoliating scrubs and peels.

Mild irritation or breakouts may occur depending on your skin condition. If symptoms persist, please contact the clinic. The doctor may prescribe an ointment or oral medication if needed.

Your skin may feel dry after treatment. Apply moisturizer and a barrier-repair cream frequently, and use sunscreen whenever you go outdoors.

Skin can be more sensitive immediately after laser treatment. UV exposure may increase the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, so apply sunscreen before going outdoors and avoid prolonged sun exposure.

To support recovery, please avoid alcohol and smoking for at least two weeks, as they can dilate blood vessels and interfere with circulation.

Please avoid saunas, steam rooms, swimming, and strenuous exercise for at least one week.

Pigmentation may temporarily appear darker depending on your skin condition, but it will gradually improve with repeated treatments.

Pigment treatment cannot be completed in a single session, so continuous maintenance treatments and ongoing care are recommended.

These instructions provide general post-treatment care information for patients treated at Lunn Dermatology Clinic.

If you need medical advice or have any concerns, we recommend contacting the clinic or scheduling an in-person consultation.
