Post-Treatment Care

Botox

Temporary bruising or swelling may occur after treatment.

You may cleanse your skin and apply makeup on the day of treatment, but please avoid applying pressure, acupressure, facial massage, and exfoliating scrubs to the treated area.

Results usually begin to appear within 1–2 weeks for wrinkles and chin dimpling correction, and after 3–4 weeks for body areas such as the trapezius or calves. Individual results may vary.

After masseter Botox, chewing may feel temporarily weaker, and facial expressions may feel slightly stiff. This is usually temporary as the medication begins to take effect.

Muscles adjacent to the treated area may appear more prominent after Botox due to the relative reduction in muscle activity. This can often be adjusted with a simple follow-up treatment, so please contact the clinic if you have any concerns.

After masseter Botox, please avoid hard or chewy foods for the time being.

To support recovery, please avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, steam rooms, swimming, and strenuous exercise for at least one week.

These instructions provide general post-treatment care information for patients treated at Lunn Dermatology Clinic.

If you need medical advice or have any concerns, we recommend contacting the clinic or scheduling an in-person consultation.
