ATTITUDE TRIFECTA

3 principles the director upholds

01ONE HAND

From the First Visit to the Last Shot

It's not a structure where the director only consults while someone else performs the treatment. Dr. Park Hyungkwon takes full responsibility for each patient's skin, start to finish.

02ACCURACY FIRST

Accuracy, Then Speed

Speed is never the first priority. Only after diagnosis and design ensure accuracy does the treatment proceed at pace.

03RESTRAINT

The Judgment to Hold Back

A patient may want 2cc, but 0.2cc is what's used. Filler is about placement and vector, not volume. A result that doesn't look unnatural is the harder task.

THE LUNN WAY

It's not about creating something that wasn't there.
It's about returning to the texture of a younger, fresher time.
That is what we aim for.

BEYOND THE TREATMENT

Value beyond results — an interview with Dr. Park Hyungkwon

Q. Why did you choose to become a dermatologist?

I thought it was a field where I could give patients immediate satisfaction. In internal medicine, illnesses take a long time to heal, but in dermatology, you can see change from the day of consultation and treatment. The moment a patient looks in the mirror and says "oh" is my greatest reward.

Q. What led you to leave a network hospital and open your own clinic?

As an employed doctor, I used to perform Botox on 75 patients and fillers on about 10 patients a day. Seeing that many patients did help build my skill, but I increasingly felt I wanted to spend enough time with each one. That's why LUNN is a single-director clinic. We space out appointments generously and give time for patients to decide together while looking in the mirror with me.

Q. Why do you focus especially on fillers?

Fillers require anatomy, product knowledge, and a sense of vector — it's a hands-on treatment that can't be automated. It's not the equipment but the physician's judgment that determines the result. I also feel strongly about showing patients who've had a disappointing filler experience what "properly done filler" looks like. Design filler, which designs the balance of the whole face rather than just filling the nasolabial folds, is LUNN's signature.

Q. Is there a patient story that stays with you the most?

There was a patient who lived in Banpo but kept following me all the way to the hospital in Yeonsinnae where I worked. She said, "I feel like I've met the doctor of my life," and came to me for advice even on cosmetic, ophthalmologic, and dermatologic concerns. Even in her late 60s, after having grandchildren, she still came for her annual lifting treatment. That experience was decisive in my decision to open my own clinic.

Q. What do you think makes a good doctor?

Sincerity — that's the one thing. I believe the responsibility of being a specialist is embedded in the title "dermatologist." The difference between a doctor who works hard and one who doesn't comes down to the moment of seriously weighing "should I or shouldn't I." One less laser shot is safer but limits the effect; one more shot improves the effect but risks side effects if done wrong. Seriously judging that boundary at every single treatment — I believe that's what being a professional means.
